Food to Fuel Your Sleep

Better Sleep, Better Life™

By now you know that what you eat and when you eat plays a HUGE role in how well you sleep at night. Here is what I ate today to help you with some meal ideas (all food is organic, free range, no preservatives or artificial anything):

Breakfast

2  eggs scrambled with strips of orange bell pepper and carrot strips (using a peeler) in butter,  topped with fresh chopped parsley from our garden;

Fresh salsa made in my food processor with: 1/2 yellow tomato, 1/2 red tomato, 1/3 green bell pepper, 1/2 small onion, 1/4 tsp sea salt;

3 pieces bacon;

Fruit cup with watermelon balls and blackberries.

Lunch

Smoothie with 2 scoops PaleoCleanse, 1/2 scoop PaleoMeal, (these are for my protein) , 1 tbls ground flax seed, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup water.

Dinner

A green salad containing: fresh red lettuce from my garden, yellow pear tomatoes sliced in half, 2 black mission figs quartered, 1/2 small carrot sliced diagonally, 1/4 cup black beans, 1 tsp olive oil, and champagne vinegar;

Topped with: broiled ground beef patty with minced onion, garlic and sea salt.

All the vegetables were either purchased at our local farmer’s market yesterday or were grown in our garden or friends. The beef was raised across the street from our home on grass.
