Running on 4 hours of interrupted sleep feels just like I remember it. My brain is foggy, I’m craving carbohydrates and I’m grumpy. Go figure! I finished up my conference in Las Vegas, went to bed in my hotel room about 10pm, fell asleep about 11pm, and then was up at 3:40am to catch a 6am flight. I knew it was a crazy idea going in, but because the timing worked with my mileage plan, I opted for it. I’m not sure I’d do that again. I had lots of time at home on Sunday because I arrived at SFO at 7:30am – but the quality of the time was marginal.
I couldn’t eat enough carbohydrates to give me the energy I needed to feel energized, and like I gotten 8-9 hours of sleep. So, I was forced to lay down and rest for a bit but was almost too tired to relax. Have you ever felt this way? I went to bed at 8:30pm and proceeded to get about 10 hours of much needed sleep. Back on track again!
